Community Partners

The Veterans Farm of NC, Inc. (VFNC) is a non-profit organization that mentors returning service members and veterans about transitioning into agricultural careers. VFNC operates as a training farm, where veterans cultivate the knowledge and skills necessary to accept their next mission: becoming successful farmers. Clay Pot Ministries, Inc. is a non-profit ministry that supports individuals who have experienced a life-changing event due to illness, injury or natural disaster. Formed in 2001 by Trudy and her sister Robin, Clay Pot has served other community partners such as the Caring House of Durham and the South Granville Senior Center. Clay Pot Ministries is undergoing a complete makeover, serving stronger than ever in 2024 – keep on the lookout for updates!

2023 Veteran’s Farm of NC Silent Auction

Thornton Tax and Business Services (TTBS) partnered with Trudy’s nonprofit, ClayPot Ministries, Inc., to support the Veteran’s Farm of NC, Inc. (VFNC) first Annual Farm Day. Through their silent auction, VFNC brought together community partners, volunteers, and veterans to learn more about the mission of the farm. Through the event, VFNC was able to cover event costs and raise general operating funds. TTBS is excited to continue working with VFNC for future events, including an event in Spring 2024.

2023 Christmas Toy Drive

With the help of Trudy’s second company, Thornton Property Management Services, we collected toys to support the TriWest Baptist Networks’s Christmas Toy Store. We want to say a HUGE thank you to all of our clients and community partners who stopped by to donate toys.
